During a time when magazines are folding, one rises from the ashes. Some/Things Magazine is a new publication based in Paris, spear-headed by James Cheng Tan & Monika Bielskyte. Two talented individuals who are about bringing together artists and designers to collaborate and produce an inspiration-filled magazine.
There is so much work that goes into this publication. Everything from the conception of ideas to how the magazine is bound is well thought out and beautifully executed. The images are stunning and there are some exciting interviews (including one with Michele Lamy).
Their first issue (Issue001), titled “Shedding Snatches of Song Like Petals” is set to be released in September. However, it is available for pre-order in the Some/Things online boutique. And as a thank you to their supporters and first-time readers, shipping charges are included in the price until August 24th.
This magazine is definitely worth picking up. They had me at hello, and I am so exited to get my hands on the first copy! Job well done to James and Monika and the Some/Things team!
